Welcome to the Old DHSians’ homepage, the alumni website for the Devonport High School Old Boys’ Association.
The Association was first established in 1914 at The Holborn Restaurant in London and exists to provide a forum for former students to meet, maintain links with the School and to be kept informed of current School information as well as the current activities of other Old DHSians.
At present, a small but dedicated committee meet at least 3 times a year to discuss membership numbers, planned events and ways of assisting the school. It is our hope to encourage a significant increase in numbers by providing you with interesting and relevant information about today’s DHSB, your peers, existing and former members of staff and other news stories about life at Paradise Road.
To access the site in full you will need to join the Association, which currently costs £10 for a calendar year. Join today to access the site until December 2012 and you will also receive the latest copy of the School magazine. Simply click on the registration icon on the right and follow the instructions.
Inside you will find a Gallery section showing photographs of various sports teams as well as the occasional group of prefects. We will be making regular additions, as the School Archive is full of old snaps going back to the 1920s.
The Sponsors section is another new initiative, allowing Old DHSians to enjoy the benefits of reciprocal trading agreements with the School, and we warmly welcome Plymouth based Bright Solicitors as our first such partner. You will find an exclusive Old DHSian offer from Bright in the Sponsors section.
There is also a Shop section, currently being worked on, where you will find details on how to order photographs as well as graphics of the new range of DHSB leisurewear, available for sale to any Old DHSian.
Clearly this site is very much in its infancy, but it is ultimately the intention of the Committee to provide an online forum facility to allow Old DHSians to once again re-engage online. On the Contacts section you will find the necessary details to contact us with requests, suggestions or general feedback.
