Art regularly sends me 'stuff' that is a send up of us antipodeans. All done with good humour and without any offence given or taken. I was so taken by this particular contribution that, because I was laughing so much, my wife got out of bed at 5.50am to see if I was on the grog. For once, not!

I have been acutely aware for several weeks that this site has been in decline due lack of activity. This is by no means the first occasion that this has happened, as those of you who come here regularly would be well acquainted.

I am trying something new, comedy, to establish whether we can generate more enthusiasm and activity. Due to the tumultuous reactions, of the perfect storm variety, that I have prompted in the past, I have been reticent to stick my neck out. It is not that I mind the criticism (if you put it out be prepared for it to rebound!) it is just that I do not relish losing contributors to this site due to my ill-conceived efforts. If Mark and AndrewB are still there.......well, what can I say?

Enough of that. Let's see if we can lighten the whole place up a little. If some one feeels their toes are being stamped on, I am sure it will only be a feeling and not a vicious reality.

If you can find other 'funnies' to send up others, or just funnies, let's see them. I probably have some locked away somewhere for later.
